MATHS CHALLENGES MUGS

Since the beginning of Maths Challenges, there have been awards ceremonies. In the early days, there would have been certificates but at some point, mugs were introduced and we would really like to know when! We do know that they existed in 1990 but when was their first appearance?

Perhaps some older schools might have kept records of high-achieving pupils?

Perhaps you know of a teacher who might have been active in MC 40 years ago and can help?
